D.C. Act 24-716. Advisory Neighborhood Commission Boundaries Emergency Amendment Act of 2022.
AN ACT
To amend, on an emergency basis, the Advisory Neighborhood Commission Boundaries Act of 2022 to adjust a portion of the boundary between single-member districts 6D01 and 6D07 in an offshore area that is occupied by recently constructed wharves.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this act may be cited as the "Advisory Neighborhood Commission Boundaries Emergency Amendment Act of 2022".
Sec. 2. Section 2(a) of the Advisory Neighborhood Commission Boundaries Act of 2022, effective August 10, 2022 (D.C. Law 24-148; D.C. Official Code § 1-207.38, note), is amended as follows:
(a) The boundaries of SMD 6D01 are amended by striking the phrase "then due west along a line extending from said intersection to the center line of the Washington Channel" and inserting the phrase "then southeast along the shoreline of the Washington Channel to its intersection with the southern boundary of Southwest Waterfront Park; then due west along a line extending from such intersection to the center line of the Washington Channel" in its place.
(b) The boundaries of SMD 6D07 are amended by striking the phrase "a line extending due west from a line following the eastern boundary of the drive lanes of the street identified as Marina Way in Zoning Commission Order No. 11-03J(2), dated December 7, 2018, and extending such eastern boundary to its intersection with the shoreline of the Washington Channel; then due east along such line to the shoreline of the Washington Channel; then southeast along the shoreline of the Washington Channel to the southern boundary of Southwest Waterfront Park" and inserting the phrase "a line extending due west from the southern boundary of Southwest Waterfront Park at its intersection with the shoreline of the Washington Channel; then east along such line to the southern boundary of Southwest Waterfront Park" in its place.
Sec. 3. Fiscal impact statement.
The Council adopts the fiscal impact statement of the Budget Director as the fiscal impact statement required by section 4a of the General Legislative Procedures Act of 1975, approved October 16, 2006 (120 Stat. 2038; D.C. Official Code § 1-301.47a).
Sec. 4. Effective date.
This act shall take effect following approval by the Mayor (or in the event of veto by the Mayor, action by the Council to override the veto), and shall remain in effect for no longer than 90 days, as provided for emergency acts of the Council of the District of Columbia in section 412(a) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 788; D.C. Official Code § 1-204.12(a)).
