Law 1-31, the “District of Columbia Unincorporated Business Franchise Tax Revision Act of 1975,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 1-169, which was referred to the Committee on Finance and Revenue. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on July 22, 1975 and August 5, 1975, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on August 13, 1975, it was assigned Act No. 1-43 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.
