Law 7-185, the “Franchising Act of 1988,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 7-439, which was referred to the Committee on Housing and Economic Development. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on September 27, 1988, and October 11, 1988, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on October 25, 1988, it was assigned Act No. 7-244 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.
