Law 8-37, the “District of Columbia Hazardous Waste Management Act of 1977 Amendment Act of 1989,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 8-216, which was referred to the Committee on Public Works. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on June 27, 1989 and July 11, 1989, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on July 27, 1989, it was assigned Act No. 8-66 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.
