Law 9-166, the “Foster Care Goals Act of 1983 Amendment Act of 1992,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 9-373, which was referred to the Committee on Human Services. Signed by the Mayor on July 23, 1992, it was assigned Act No. 9-264 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 9-166 became effective on October 1, 1992.
