Law 1-76, the “District of Columbia Consumer Protection Procedures Act,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 1-253, which was referred to the Committee on Public Services and Consumer Affairs. Signed by the Mayor on May 14, 1976, it was assigned Act No. 1-118 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review.
